Our Story

Nabeel and Basim both identified the need for an experiential learning community for students during their time as MBA students at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. While taking several popular courses, such as Product Management and Social Sector Solutions, they had the opportunity to work on real-life projects with companies. As international students new to the USA, they were amazed by the chance to engage with both domestic and international projects while still enrolled in school.

Nabeel later led the Berkeley Innovative Solutions Consulting Club, where he successfully arranged projects for students from major companies like PG&E and Nissan, as well as innovative firms like Supernal, an electric aviation company. Meanwhile, Basim experienced similar opportunities in his classrooms and recognized the immense value of getting students out of the classroom to apply their skills in real-world settings.

In 2023, Nabeel and Basim joined forces to launch Thrivon after interviewing many companies and students. Their shared vision was to create a platform that bridges the gap between academic learning and practical experience, empowering students and providing valuable resources to businesses.
